History of Dreamforce Infographic

Project:
Salesforce.com enlisted JESS3 to create an infographic that celebrates the 10th annual Dreamforce conference, now the world’s largest vendor technology conference in history, by showing its expansion over the past decade.

Methodology:
The infographic charted the rise of the event in three ways: attendance, event milestones, and each year’s guest bands and keynote speakers. From 1,300 attendees and no musical performances in 2003, to 92,300 attendees and a performance by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in 2012, there was significant growth to visualize. Using fanciful and eye-catching markers, the design style is both informational and promotional.

Amnesty International and JESS3 Team up for Anniversary Infographics

JESS3 had the honor of helping leading human rights protection non-profit Amnesty International celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with the creation of five data visualizations. This collection of infographics aims to inform the public about some of the issues Amnesty International is most passionate about as well as the organization's history itself.

Jesse Thomas Gives Expert Advice to Marketing Land

JESS3’s founder, Jesse Thomas, sat down with Marketing Land as one of 8 industry experts, including other designers and top level executives, to answer the questions “What makes an excellent infographic?” and “What should my expectations be for an infographic?” Jesse stressed in his answers that infographics need to be beautiful, but also meaningful and have the data to back them up, because “the primary purpose of an infographic is to spark informed conversation and action.” He also noted that “An infographic should be intelligent and tell the audience something they don’t already know, but say it with words and terms they do.”
