As information designers and social media power users, we are constantly exploring new galaxies and metaphors to best visualize data.

With this mentality, we recently asked the question: Who is the biggest player in the location based landscape? Hint: it’s not one of the geosocial companies you hear mentioned in the daily tech press. As you will see from our infographic, the answer is: mobile. And email. They are what we really use regularly. They are the super-powers that new players like Foursquare and Gowalla are up against. Using Saturn vs. Pluto made a lot of sense to show the comparison.

JESS3's First Comic Book: The Zen of Steve Jobs

After watching a documentary that touched on Steve Jobs’ study of Buddhism and how its teachings affected the aesthetic of Apple products, JESS3 CEO and Founder Jesse Thomas was set on making a technology-themed comic book / zine with Steve Jobs as the protagonist. He pitched the idea to Forbes Managing Editor Bruce Upbin, who immediately understood the power of Jesse’s vision and wanted to collaborate.
