CEO and Founder Jesse Thomas and Director of Strategy Brad Cohen traveled to Bilbao, Spain to participate in the Nonick Conference, which promotes the role of technology and new media in developing new areas of Spain’s economy. The expert duo shared tips on making information snackable, social objects, and keeping the target audience in mind.
Infographic and data visualization community Visual.ly featured The Workplace Zodiac, an infographic created by JESS3 for Mindjet, on its front page. Outlining the dynamics of different Work Personality Types, the infographic was the final piece of Mindjet’s Workology series, which examines every team member’s role for maximizing team success. Although the project’s original intention was to drive brand awareness, Mindjet incorporated the series into their sales team’s efforts as well. The infographic is now in the top 5% of Business content on Visual.ly.
It’s no doubt that 2010 was a huge year for both mobile and geosocial. Looking to end the year in a big bang, Bravo and foursquare tapped JESS3 to bring in the New Year with the first-ever live foursquare check-in broadcast on television.
Capital Business reporter Tom Heath announced on Monday: "The founders of JESS3 — the District-based visual storyteller for corporations such as Google, NIKEiD and ESPN — are moving to Los Angeles next month. For good." Adding that, "JESS3 co-founder Leslie Bradshaw tells us the company set up offices in Highland Park a year ago. Bradshaw, who founded the firm with Jesse Thomas and is one of the key players in the local business scene, said the move will enable the firm to better serve their West Coast clients, which make up 90 percent of JESS3’s business."
JESS3 earned high praise at the Beagle Short Tale Awards. The video "Future of Revenue," created in conjunction with Eloqua, was recognized with three awards: Best Story Telling, Best Video with an Educational Theme and Best Animation. JESS3 also won Best Production for its three "State of" releases in 2010.
For the third year in a row, Brian Solis and JESS3 have partnered to map out the social media landscape. First launched in 2008, the "v3.0" of the Conversation Prism reflects the changes the social media world saw in the past year.
To celebrate the opening of its new offices, Google LA approached frequent design partner JESS3 to create 13 movie-sized posters, one for each of the major engineering efforts at the LA site that would live beyond the opening event in November. The result is a group of fun illustrated infographics which tell the story of the processes behind Ad Sense, Chrome, and Google+ photo sharing and more.
