about OLPC Jabber Server for D.C. area now available

At the last meeting on Saturday, April 26th, the availability of a Jabber server for the OLPC Learning Club D.C. was announced

To setup your XO, open the terminal activity and type:

sugar-control-panel -s jabber dc.olpc.obscure.org

Restart Sugar/X (ctrl-alt-erase) and you will connect to the Jabber server.

You will then see other OLPC Learning Club D.C. users who are online in the Neighborhood View.

I was playing with the XO laptops "sugar" interface for an hour or so.. I was pulling up gmail, playing games, making music.. it runs linux.. its amazing.
