Hundreds of Vehicles Towed in DC
Over 350 vehicles parked along emergency routes were towed this morning in the District.
DC Department of Public Works spokeswoman Mary Myers said workers issued $250 fines to vehicles parked along snow routes and then towed them to the closest legal parking space.
Motorists who suspect their vehicle has been towed can call 202-541-6078 to find out where their car is.
Myers also said the city's 1,100 miles of roads had been treated with salt or de-icer at least once. Nearly 200 trucks are working to treat streets.
