After being on the ground for the initial primaries, our JESS3 team ran the Google Politics and Elections War Room for South Carolina from Google’s DC office. We've been helping visualize Google search data for the 2012 Elections, and the data for this primary shows a new story: Newtmentum.

Instead of posting our usual weekly team Mobile Uploads, we’ve rounded up some of the actions our team members have taken to protest the SOPA and PIPA initiatives. The team has signed petitions, called local reps, and transferred 175 domains from GoDaddy, an early supporter of SOPA, to Namecheap.

Eloqua partnered again with JESS3 to create an infographic celebrating the birth of disruptive innovations. The infographic launch coincides with a large company product announcement — Eloqua Engage for iPad, in which four “disruptions” converge: email, tablets, marketing automation and revenue performance management.

JESS3 President, COO and Co-founder, Leslie Bradshaw has been profiled and named one of "12 Women to Watch in 2012" by The Daily Muse. " The publication highlights Leslie for her accomplishments and, along with The Wall Street Journal, calls Bradshaw the “brains” driving the company forward.

Google is focusing on the empowerment of voters by arming them with the news, information and knowledge required to become more meaningful participants in the country’s democratic process. There’s no question that the web is poised to deliver more political information, opinion and news than any other medium. Google and JESS3 foresee the Internet playing its biggest role yet in American elections.

After watching a documentary that touched on Steve Jobs’ study of Buddhism and how its teachings affected the aesthetic of Apple products, JESS3 CEO and Founder Jesse Thomas was set on making a technology-themed comic book / zine with Steve Jobs as the protagonist. He pitched the idea to Forbes Managing Editor Bruce Upbin, who immediately understood the power of Jesse’s vision and wanted to collaborate.

As an official production partner at this year’s highly anticipated LeWeb ’11 Conference, JESS3 attended the conference to contribute what its best known for: beautiful data visualizations. The catch? The infographics would be created in real-time. With the help of data partners Radian6, the JESS3 team created an infographic for each day of the conference using the topics discussed by the panelists in attendance as well as the topics most widely discussed in the social media.

JESS3 co-founder Leslie Bradshaw was joined by JESS3 editorial and outreach director Simon Owens to discuss the finer points of how Facebook was hacked by porn spammers during the week of November 14th. WUSA 9 reporter Lindsey Mastis joined the JESS3 team at our DC offices, where they discussed what happened and how to avoid the situation in the future. It's un-Biebevable!
